We've heard of pancakes, have we not? Well, I invented this delicious way to start Sunday mornings again. So, let's get cooking...
Servings: 1
Need:
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of pancake mix
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla
- Pure Maple Syrup
Do:
- Crack the eggs into a bowl. Get all the white (the clear liquid) out of the shell. The white is protein rich.
- Beat up the eggs. While beating, add the milk.
- When the mixture is a nice light yellow, add the pancake mix. Buttermilk based mixes work best. Stir in the mix until thick.
- Add, say, about two shakes of cinnamon and a teaspoon of vanilla and mix in. The batter should smell delicious.
- Heat up a nonstick skillet and grease it with nondairy butter, canola oil or cooking spray.
- Spoon ladles of mixture onto the skillet.
- Cook for roughly three minutes and flip. Depending on the size of the pancake, it may take longer or shorter.
- Once flipped, always cook it for no more than 15 seconds.
- Serve it up on a plate and drizzle it with a small amount of pure maple syrup.
The pancakes are made even healthier when you add freshly washed blueberries while cooking. I think blueberry pancakes are better when blueberries are in season.
